Mysteries and Grave Mistakes

In police parlance, it's often quipped that 'white doors' painted on a police car aid the Highway Patrol officer easy entry into their cruiser! But, it's also widely accepted that Highway Patrol officers are the first to notice mistakes or unusual and strange events.
Recently, a regimental number was noticed by a retired Highway Patrol man which contained an error on the grave stone.  Deceased member C.A.L. Liboiron's grave stone in SK shows Reg.#15215 which actually belongs to deceased member J.P.J.E. Rodrigue!

In turn, the Regimental number error was reported to Vet. Historian Jack White.

In his recent report, Jack White says: "I have now heard back from the Historian. Our record is correct and Reg.#15215 does belong to deceased member Rodrigue so, clearly, the Liboiron (Reg.#15323) headstone at Ponteix, Sask is in error.

The Historian is now pulling the file on purchase of stone to determine if error in the order or manufacture. This may take some time to determine next step".

PS: Our appreciation goes out to all our Program volunteers who sometimes discover minor errors and report them so that our records reflect accurate research and good care of our deceased resting place.
