'Friends Not Forgotten'

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ross Frederick Pollock on the morning of August 22, 2011 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Ross passed away peacefully at his home in Ashern, MB, as he had wished, with his daughter at his side. He will be forever loved and remembered by his daughter Marilyn, wife Margaret and grandson Jonathan.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Ashern Palliative Home Care team, a group of extraordinary women who with respect, compassion and loving kindness united with us to honour Dad's wish to be at home. There truly are angels among us.

Bluebells

He bent down to pick some wildflowers And I watched him from far away As he painfully gathered with his time-worn hands A tiny, delicate bouquet. Then he slowly walked toward me With a tear on his tired face And he proudly gave me those flowers A symbol of God's loving grace. No greater gift could I ever receive Not the moon, nor the stars above Than those precious bluebells from my father's hand Picked just for me

With his love...
