Reg.#o92 and 2, S/M John H. G. Bray

Hi Joe,
Here's a photo of S/M Bray and I want to credit the Esplande website.

It's a copy of a picture that I last saw hanging in Redcliff Detachment and as noted, it was taken in 1875.

S/M Bray was born on January 24, 1840. He joined the Force on November 3, 1873 and he took part in the Riel Rebellion. Bray Lake, AB is named after S/M Bray. He died on September 9, 1923 and he is buried in Medicine Hat, AB

Credit: If you go to the City of Medicine Hat website, then click the link to the Esplanade you can find this photo as well as a numerous other photos of the NWMP. There are also other photos held under RNWMP and under RCMP. They include pictures of the WildHorse Det as well as where the Eagle Butte Det was.

Take care,
Vet. Max Moritz
and Vet. AJH 'Joe' Collinson

Credit: I also thank Vet. Jack White for his contribution of historical notes for this blog of S/M Bray. JJH
