'Friends Not Forgotten'

Today, the following note was received from 'E' Div Vet Dan Lemieux.
 
According to S/S/M John Buis, Burnaby Detachment, recently deceased Steve Bunyk was a faithful police officer and very proud to be a member of the RCMP.

Steve joined the RCMP in 1949 and trained at 'Depot'.  After training, he was transferred to the Vancouver Drug Squad at Fairmont Barracks.  He remained in the Drug Squad for 25 years.

Steve died in Burnaby, BC on August 14, 2012.  

At the request of the Bunyk family,  'E' Div. Team One Honour Guard under the Command of Vet Dan Lemieux attended Steve's Celebration of Life this week.
