'Friends Not Forgotten'

Walter James Gillissie was born in Metcalfe, Ontario in 1907. He joined the Force in 1927 and specialized in the Forensic Identification Section in 'A' and 'HQ' Div's. He retired in 1948.

Corporal Gillissie is father to Reg.#18469, William (Bill) A. Gilissie.

The following note was recently received from Bill Gillissie. He said;

'Hi Joe. We have never met but I have to say 'thanks' for your work of love on the RCMP graves.' Blessings, Bill.

Corporal Gillissie died in 1953 and he is buried in Notre Dame Cemetery, Ottawa, ON
