Reg. #15933, Richard Emerson (Dick) Muir, Superintendent (Rt'd) passed away peacefully on August 28th, 2011, at the Elizabeth Bruyere Hospital, Ottawa, Ontario.
Dick joined the Force in 1949 and served for 36 years. He served in 'H', 'A', 'O' and 'Headquarters' Divisions.
He is survived by his wife, Joan, five children, fifteen grandchildren and a great grandson.

A memorial service will be held at Beechwood Cemetery Memorial Centre, Ottawa, on Thursday September 1st : greetings at 10:30 hrs, service at 11:00 hrs, reception at 12:00 hrs. RCMP Veterans welcome.
